The film follows the story of Hip Hop band NWA in the 1980s America. Members of the bad (Ice Cube and Dr Dre) were co-producers.

NWA has a reputation for the ‘most dangerous band’ in the world. They also could be said to be the headline founders of gangster rap. Ice Cube has featured in many featured films and TV series.

The film was a huge commercial and critical success became the highest grossing music biopic of all time and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.

Over 300,000 copies of the accompanying soundtrack sold.
